Yet the latest Battlefield is hoping to alter that.

This is the most recent addition in a long-running combat FPS line frequently described as a more realistic response to the CoD series.

The title has seldom succeeded to match its best-known opponent in aspects of units sold or players, but there are signs the new installment could reduce the distance.

A preview event allowing users a shot to try out the release in recent months set new benchmarks, and the buzz heading into its launch has been massive.

Responding To Previous Mistakes

This title comes off the heels of the advanced Battlefield 2042, released four years ago to a negative feedback it found it hard to bounce back from.

"We probably would find it impossible to create and produce the latest entry without the learnings we acquired in the last release," Rebecka tells the press.

One of those lessons was to engage players involved soon, and the studio initiated exclusive community playtests earlier this year.

The "response was explosively encouraging," states she.

One more omitted ingredient from Battlefield 2042 was a single-player campaign, which has been brought back for this release.

The UK studio project head the design director is the one responsible for "ensuring those levels are as fun and interesting as possible for the audience."

In spite of claims that the scale of the project had created pressure for the various studios partnering globally to create the project, the director is upbeat about the work.

"Working with varied cultures, different backgrounds, it's a very engaging atmosphere to be involved in every day," he shares.

"This entire approach has been something new but also truly thrilling because we are partnering with individuals from around the globe."

Regarding the anticipation on the crew, Fas says: "There is pressure but additionally it's exciting.

"This is a big venture. It's probably the most significant that the majority of the team have before been involved in."

New Artist Adds Innovative Insight
