Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.

Finn had a key role in the acclaimed sitcom The Middle.

Stateside performer Finn, who was seen in iconic programs including "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has passed away at 60 years old.

The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in LA recently following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.

"Pat considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his relatives said in a announcement.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

A Notable TV Career

Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.

He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He starred as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous popular shows, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

His most famous role for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Beyond his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was part of a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.

"He coached, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he shared online.

Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
