Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Life

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
